GROUP CLASSES
GROUP CLASSES are also available. While private training is more comprehensive, there are instances where a group class will best meet the client’s needs.
Group classes are also a fun way to do an activity with your dog and strengthen your relationship.
There are a variety of classes offered ranging from Good Manners 101, a class offering basic skills, to advanced classes.
These advanced classes include the AKC Canine Good Citizen and Community Canine, AKC Trick Dog Titles, Variety Sports Pak, Shaping and various other fun behavior classes designed to provide your dog with advanced skills and mental stimulation. Three classes run at a time and not all classes are offered during a session.

Sharon helped me train my dog Cooper. He was 8 YO with a past and had just been rehomed to my home. He had problems with excessive barking, escaping, getting into things, and potty training. He had no boundaries prior. Sharon taught me how to stimulate him regularly in various ways and the importance of positive training for an anxious, traumatized doggie. Cooper has flourished since his training. He LOVES "around," "which hand?" and "paws up." We still have some troubles with barking but it's workable, but he has been able to bond with us, get on a routine, and even safely play with our big dog! Brady is a poodle/bichon mix, a rescue that came with issues. The biggest problem was his aggressive behavior with other dogs - barking, lunging and scaring them. Sharon worked with us giving us tips on keeping his focus on us instead of the other dog thereby reducing his anxiety. With patience and treats, he has gotten so much better. I was referred to her by my vet when my dog was having issues with excessive barking and whining when getting ready for walks. She had great techniques and when one thing didn’t work she always had a Plan B and even Plan C. I really appreciated the fact that she was gentle and always used positive reinforcements. Once we got the barking under control we also worked on other standard commands and she gave me many fun and confidence-boosting exercises to do with my dog. Sharon was recommended to me by another trainer to help address barking and anxiety in my 1 year old male. She was polite and professional when I contacted her. She came to my home and quickly identified the behavior and offered training suggestions to help build my boy’s confidence. I was skeptical. The training exercises seemed simple and I wasn’t sure they would be impactful...but I followed her recommendations and we did our daily ‘homework’ practicing the various exercises. I noticed positive changes in his behavior within 2 days. I was sold! In our second session, she offered feedback and more training exercises. We even included my 5 year old boy in the session and worked on manners at the front door. There were visible results and improvements in door etiquette in minutes. I found her after googling dog trainers near me and saw that she had good reviews. I called and explained to her one of my had been showing aggression towards other dogs on the leash. After coming over and evaluating one dog and seeing the other, she determined both dogs could use some training. The other dog who is not leash aggressive can be very anxious and fearful. From day one, she had the dogs working and training. We didn’t start out on the leash right away but worked on other commands and exercises to help the dogs. The progress that they have made from day 1 to our last training session was huge! Both dogs behave better, are more comfortable with socializing, and we now have techniques we use to make encounters with other dogs more positive for our formerly leash aggressive dog(still doesn’t like every dog she meets but as Sharon said how can you expect your dog to like every dog that comes up to her when you don’t like everyone that comes up to you?). Also through Sharon we learned that our dogs love learning. Our aggressive dog and our shy dog thrived in the training and we found out our aggressive dog is a little genius. Crating was not an option because he injured himself in attempts to escape. After working with Sharon, he is a new dog!!! He doesn't destroy items in the house.
